Football Recap: Blanchard Takes a Loss

Blanchard dropped to 3-5 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They were outmatched by the Tuttle Tigers and fell 49-7. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Tigers are ranked sixth).

As for Tuttle, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.1 points on average this season.

Shawn Rounsaville Jr was his usual excellent self, rushing for 209 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Those 209 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Turner Leming was in the mix too, providing Tuttle with one score.

Coincidentally, Blanchard and Tuttle will both be playing Chickasha the next time they take the field. The Tigers will host the Fighting Chicks at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st, while the Lions will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on November 7.
