Soccer Recap: Basic Comes Up Short

If Basic was feeling good fresh off their 9-2 takedown of Mater Academy East Las Vegas on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Wolves lost 9-1 to the Green Valley Gators on Thursday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Basic were already down 6-1.

Their goal came courtesy of Peyton Simmons, who's now up to 13 this season.

Basic has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Green Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Basic will take on rival Sports Leadership & Management at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Green Valley is set to face off against their familiar foe Silverado at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
