Football Recap: Shaw Comes Up Short

Shaw was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 31-26 heartbreaker at the hands of the Spencer Greenwave. The Raiders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Greenwave from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Shaw's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Spencer, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Shaw is set to face off against their familiar foe Kendrick at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Spencer will challenge rival Columbus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
