Volleyball Preview: Ponder Lions vs. Paradise Panthers
Ponder has gone 8-2 against Paradise recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. After both having extra time off, both will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 4:30 p.m. Ponder will be looking to keep their 13-game home win streak dating back to last season alive.
Last Friday, Ponder got the win against Whitesboro by a conclusive 3-0.
The 3-0 doesn't show just how dominant Ponder was: they took every set by at least ten points. After all that action, the final score was 25-15, 25-10, 25-11.
Makaylee Ruiz was nothing short of spectacular: she had 18 digs and three aces.
She wasn't the only good server: Ponder was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They are a perfect 6-0 when they serve more than ten aces.
Meanwhile, Paradise made easy work of Callisburg on Friday and carried off a 3-0 victory.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19, 25-18.
