Volleyball Recap: Oakville Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Oakville took on Mehlville on Thursday. The Tigers fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Oakville wouldn't go down easily and took Mehlville into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-17, 21-25, 22-25, 15-10.

When it comes to explaining why Oakville lost, don't look at Ethan Le. Despite the final result, he had 14 digs.

Oakville's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Mehlville, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.

Oakville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against St. Pius X on the 2nd. As for Mehlville, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Howell North on the 2nd.
