Football Recap: Harpeth Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Harpeth extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 2-7. They fell 21-14 to the Waverly Central Tigers. The game was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Indians couldn't quite close it out.

Maddox Wilson threw for 75 yards and one touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes. On the ground, John Neely rushed for 58 yards and one score.

As for Waverly Central, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.0 points on average this season.

Waverly Central can attribute much of their success to Aiden Ralston, who rushed for 53 yards and one TD. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Harbison, who rushed for 102 yards and one touchdown.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Harpeth will take on Camden Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups. As for Waverly Central, they will face off against Fairview at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Yellowjackets will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
