Soccer Game Preview: Upson-Lee vs. Sandy Creek

The Upson-Lee Knights will face off against the Sandy Creek Patriots at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

While Upson-Lee's win against Luella wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Upson-Lee narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Luella 2-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for Upson-Lee as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Brian Ventura and Evan Turner scored both of Upson-Lee's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Sandy Creek sidestepped Chapel Hill for a 2-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Sandy Creek.

Upson-Lee's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Sandy Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8-1.
