Football Recap: Chisum's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Chisum had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 34-26 win over the Quitman Bulldogs on Friday. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 28-25 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Chisum's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Quitman, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Chisum will take on rival Grand Saline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Quitman is set to square off against their familiar foe Lone Oak at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
