They had to suffer through a rough 66-29 loss at the hands of Mount Calvary Christian. Veritas Academy has not had much luck with Mount Calvary Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Mount Calvary Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Josiah Masters led the charge by scoring 17 points along with four steals. Avery Kopcha was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five assists and three steals.
Veritas Academy dropped their record down to 1-11 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Mount Calvary Christian, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Veritas Academy's homestand continues as they prepare to take on High Point Baptist Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th. High Point Baptist Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Veritas Academy in Pennsylvania (High Point Baptist Academy is ranked 314th, while Veritas Academy is ranked 749th). As for Mount Calvary Christian, they will be playing at home against Lancaster County Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
