Basketball Recap: Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Takes a Loss

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy lost against Burns back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons took a 71-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Burns Bulldogs. The Gryphons were down 61-41 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Burns, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy will be playing at home against East Gaston at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East Gaston has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Burns, they will head out on the road to take on Bessemer City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Burns' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
