If Golden wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Heritage, they should've done a better job of containing Avery Samson. The Eagles came out on top against the Demons by a score of 3-1 on Saturday for which the team can thank Samson, who had 13 digs and five assists. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 10.1 digs per game.

Despite the loss, Golden still got an impressive performance from Maddelyn Goodman, who had 16 digs and one assist. Goodman also served an ace, marking her first of the season.

Heritage has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Golden, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five matches and leaves them with a 13-8 record.

Coincidentally, Heritage and Golden will both be playing Douglas County the next time they take the court. The Demons will head out to face the Huskies at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
