Baseball Recap: Central Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

While Central didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Jensen Beach Falcons on Wednesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Cobras, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Rupert Blackwood Jr spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 14 Ks. Those 14 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Nathaniel Morel was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominick Grimaldi, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Central's record is now 4-0-1.

Coincidentally, Central and Jensen Beach will both be playing Lincoln Park Academy the next time they take the field. Jensen Beach will host Lincoln Park Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Central will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
