NCISAA Colonial Carolina (8 Man) recap Oct. 9, 2012

Word of God Christian Academy's Casty St. Louis recorded the longest rushing play in NCISAA Colonial Carolina (8 Man) this season in his game against Arendell Parrott Academy last week. St. Louis scampered for 87 yards on the play and finished with 288 on the day as his team beat the Patriots.

Word of God Christian Academy extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Arendell Parrott Academy, 42-12. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.

Matt Beaman's team's dynamic duo of Andrew Davenport and Nate Staskelunas proved tough for the Rams to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Davenport threw for 88 yards and two touchdowns and Staskelunas had 74 yards receiving. Jimmy Silver helped Arendell Parrott Academy's passing attack out by catching two balls for 11 yards.

The Patriots' Davenport and Staskelunas have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Davenport has thrown for 837 yards this season, while Staskelunas, a 6-foot-4 receiver, has 27 catches for 616 yards. St. Louis from Word of God Christian Academy leads the league in rushing with 1417 yards.

The marquee game in NCISAA Colonial Carolina (8 Man) this week will be the clash between Arendell Parrott Academy and Lawrence Academy. The Patriots enters the game ranked sixth in the state, while the Warriors ranks eighth.

Arendell Parrott Academy's Davenport is a mere 35 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 107 carries Davenport has accumulated 965 yard this year.

The Rams took down the Patriots 42-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. St. Louis in the win.
