Basketball Game Preview: Sanger Indians vs. Van Alstyne Panthers

The Sanger Indians will face off against the Van Alstyne Panthers at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Sanger didn't have too much trouble with Celina as they won 44-30. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Meanwhile, Van Alstyne got the win against Gainesville on Tuesday by a conclusive 50-30.

Van Alstyne's win bumped their record up to 11-16. As for Sanger, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

Sanger was able to grind out a solid victory over Van Alstyne in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 43-34. Will Sanger repeat their success, or does Van Alstyne have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
