Volleyball Recap: Elk Point-Jefferson Comes Up Short

Elk Point-Jefferson was the 2-0 winner over Northwestern Area when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Huskies took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats on Saturday. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-14.

Elk Point-Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Northwestern Area, they pushed their record up to 25-2 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Elk Point-Jefferson is taking a road trip to face off against South Sioux City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northwestern Area, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Mobridge-Pollock on the 11th.
