Baseball Recap: Wagner Comes Up Short

Wagner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Corpus Christi Moody Trojans. If the Thunderbirds were looking for revenge after losing 5-2 to the Trojans when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wagner's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Corpus Christi Moody, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.

Wagner didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against New Braunfels on the 11th. As for Corpus Christi Moody, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 5-3 loss against King on the 10th.
