Football Recap: Marple Newtown Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lower Merion last Friday, Marple Newtown came back down to earth. The Fightin' Tigers fell 18-10 to the Penncrest Lions on Friday. The Fightin' Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Marple Newtown has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Penncrest, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Marple Newtown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Penncrest, they will venture away from home to challenge Ridley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
