Football Recap: North Kingstown Takes Down Ranked Cranston West

North Kingstown faced Cranston West in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Skippers enjoyed a cozy 21-7 win over the Falcons. For the Skippers, this counts as revenge for the 29-28 victory the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

North Kingstown's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jack Diano led the charge by rushing for 56 yards and one score, while also throwing for 142 yards on seven of 15 attempts. That's the most rushing yards Diano has posted since back in September of 2024. Another rusher making a difference was Nickolas Stafford, who gained 158 total yards.

The win got North Kingstown back to even at 1-1. As for Cranston West, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
