Basketball Preview: Classical Purple vs. Tolman Tigers
The Classical Purple will head out to face off against the Tolman Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Classical is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to North Kingstown for the full four quarters, racking up an 85-52 victory. With the Purple ahead 46-16 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Classical relied on the efforts of Eliezer Delbrey, who posted 27 points, and Abdul Evans, who scored 23 points. Mohammed Fadia was another key player, putting up 12 points.
Meanwhile, Tolman faced Cranston East in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Tolman put the hurt on Cranston East with a sharp 67-43 win. The victory was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on three straight.
Classical is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
