Random Lake waltzed into their match on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Montello Hilltoppers a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Rams have won 13 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Random Lake pushed their record up to 21-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Montello, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.
