Basketball Recap: Wayne Christian Takes a Loss

Wayne Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Epiphany Falcons. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-52 last Monday.

Wayne Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Epiphany, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-15.

Wayne Christian and Epiphany could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. Wayne Christian (ranked 549th) will meet Arendell Parrott Academy (ranked 252nd) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Epiphany will challenge Greenfield at 8:00 p.m. on Monday down 523 places (554 vs. 31).
