Saint Viator entered their tilt with Carmel on Tuesday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Corsairs. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Corsairs, too.

Saint Viator easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-9.

Olive Meyers was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 11 assists and seven digs. That's the most digs she has posted over her last ten matchups. Mary Francl also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Saint Viator's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Carmel, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-4.

Looking ahead, Saint Viator will take on Fenwick at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carmel, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Grayslake Central at 6:00 p.m.
