Manheim Central is 8-2 against Donegal since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Barons will head out to take on the Indians at 4:15 p.m. Manheim Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Manheim Central fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Ephrata on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Mountaineers by a score of 3-2.

Hunter Garber was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Donegal suffered their biggest defeat since April 4th on Thursday. They lost 16-4 to Palmyra.

Donegal saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leland Condran, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Manheim Central's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7. As for Donegal, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-8.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Manheim Central has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Donegal struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Manheim Central beat Donegal 5-2 when the teams last played back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Barons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
