Poly won the last time they faced Edmondson-Westside and things went their way  on Wednesday too. Everything went the Poly Engineers' way against the Edmondson-Westside Red Storm as the Poly Engineers made off with  a  75-49 win. The Engineers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten  contests by 20  points or more this season.
Poly's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Brianna Pope, who  dropped  a double-double with 19 points and 11  rebounds. The dominant performance also gave  Pope a new career-high in  steals (six). Another player making a difference was  Alexis Smothers, who  posted 15  points along with six  steals and five  boards.
 Poly  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 22  offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  offensive board total in three consecutive  games.
Poly's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Edmondson-Westside,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 14-4.
As of now, neither Poly nor Edmondson-Westside have any future games scheduled.
