Softball Game Preview: Highland Prep Honey Badgers vs. Kingman Bulldogs

The Highland Prep Honey Badgers will head out to square off against the Kingman Bulldogs at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Highland Prep has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 6.

Highland Prep fell victim to Chino Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 11-0.

Highland Prep saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydney Mikkelson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Kingman got the win against Odyssey Institute on Monday by a conclusive 21-3. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Kingman and bumps their season record up to 13-13. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Highland Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

Highland Prep suffered a grim 23-0 defeat to Kingman when the teams last played on April 4th. Can the Honey Badgers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
