Football Game Preview: Madison Academy Mustangs vs. North Jackson Chiefs + How To Watch

The Madison Academy Mustangs will venture away from home to face off against the North Jackson Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

North Jackson will be up against a hot Madison Academy squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Mustangs walked away with a 35-27 victory over Arab on Friday. The Mustangs pushed the score to 35-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Knights cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, North Jackson never let their opponents score last Friday. They breezed past New Hope to the tune of 49-0. Considering the Chiefs have won three contests by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

North Jackson's win came from a few key players Madison Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Nick Price Jr., who rushed for 213 yards and three TDs while picking up 12.5 yards per carry. Price Jr. is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 130 every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Keyton Long, who rushed for 120 yards and one score on only five carries.

North Jackson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 407 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 153 rushing yards in 15 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Madison Academy's record now sits at 4-1. As for North Jackson, their record is now an identical 4-1.

Madison Academy came up short against North Jackson in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 18-12. Thankfully for the Mustangs, Diego Holt (who rushed for 140 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also picked up 43 receiving yards) won't be suiting up this time.
