Basketball Recap: Crosspoint Christian Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

Crosspoint Christian extended their home winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Payton Lauth. Crosspoint Christian took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 68-40 victory over the New Life Christian Crusaders thanks in part to Lauth, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 22 boards. Those 25 points gave him a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Asher Weldy, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Crosspoint Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for New Life Christian, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Crosspoint Christian will take on Heritage Classical Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Heritage Classical Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.6 points per game this season. New Life Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
