Softball Recap: Rison Wildcats vs. Gurdon Go-Devils

It was a good run, but Rison unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Gurdon Go-Devils by a score of 5-4. Rison was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Gurdon apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Josey Edwards put in work while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Edwards has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single walk in four consecutive pitching appearances. Edwards was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
