Softball Recap: Ben Lomond Falls to Union in First Game of Season

Ben Lomond unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Union Cougars on Friday, falling 19-0. The Scots haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Union is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Ben Lomond will look to defend their home field on Monday against American Leadership Academy at 3:30 p.m. As for Union, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Union Cougars duke it out with South Summit Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Summit has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.56 runs per game on average), something Union will no doubt try to take advantage of.
