Football Recap: Skyline Triumphs

Skyline hadn't done well against Olympus recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Eagles secured a 14-9 W over the Titans. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 47-6 loss the last time these two teams met.

Skyline can attribute much of their success to Xavier Cocci, who threw for 169 yards and two TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 66 yards.

Skyline didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Olympus to a completion percentage of just 50%. Given Cocci's standout performance, it's clear the Titans' secondary just wasn't on the same level.

Skyline's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Olympus, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

The match will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Olympus, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Park City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
