Basketball Recap: Stigler's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Stigler's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 50-39 win over the Wilburton Diggers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 51-23 back in December of 2024.

Stigler moved to 8-12 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Wilburton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Stigler will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Westville at 7:30 p.m. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Stigler has lost four straight at home , while Westville has lost eight on the road. As for Wilburton, they will venture away from home to square off against Heavener at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Wilburton is facing Heavener at the right time seeing as Heavener is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
