Volleyball Recap: 15 Straight Home Victories for Homer

There's no place like home for Homer, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Creighton Bulldogs on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Knights also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-14, 25-20.

Taiah Bird paced Homer's offense, picking up 13 kills. Bird got some help from Madi Roeber and her 37 assists. Janessa Overgaard and Annah Harris kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Homer pushed their record up to 10-6 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Creighton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Homer will welcome Bancroft-Rosalie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Creighton, they will challenge Wausa at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
