Soccer Game Preview: Yukon vs. Guthrie

The Yukon Millers will venture away from home to take on the Guthrie Bluejays at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Yukon has three straight wins, Guthrie has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Yukon is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oklahoma's top teams: Putnam City, who was ranked 16th at the time (Yukon was ranked 11th). Yukon had just enough and edged out Putnam City 1-0 last Thursday.

Meanwhile, Guthrie scored the most goals they've had this season last Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Christian Heritage by a score of 5-4. Even if Guthrie couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Yukon pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Guthrie, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
