Mar Vista never let their opponents score on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Castle Park Trojans 1-0. The victory continues a trend for the Mariners in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won five in a row.

The result came thanks to Peter Thomas's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up 14 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mar Vista saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Snow, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double. That's the most hits Snow has posted since back in March.
