Glencoe has gone 9-1 against Century recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Crimson Tide will head out to challenge the Jaguars at 5:00 p.m. Glencoe's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Century's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Glencoe came out on top against Liberty on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fifth inning. The Crimson Tide's pitcher stepped up to hand the Falcons a 10-0 shutout. The Crimson Tide might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Irene Vandyke made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Vandyke was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Kalli Farrimond was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run and one stolen base. Izabella Howell was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, Century fell victim to Forest Grove and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 1-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Jaguars in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost eight in a row.

Glencoe is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Century, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Glencoe took their win against Century in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crimson Tide since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
