Baseball Game Preview: Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes vs. Coral Glades Jaguars

The Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes will venture away from home to face off against the Coral Glades Jaguars at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Pompano Beach is headed into the game having just posted their biggest victory since March 15, 2024 on Thursday. They were the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over Plantation. The win continues a trend for the Golden Tornadoes in their matchups with the Colonels: they've now won three in a row.

Pompano Beach let Gianni Carbone and Mossimo Carbone loose on the outfield. Gianni scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3, while Mossimo scored two runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance gave Mossimo a new career-high in runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Chodnoff, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Coral Glades ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top against Fort Lauderdale by a score of 5-2. The victory was just business as usual for the Jaguars, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Coral Glades saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cloevens Challenger, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Coral Glades' record now sits at 3-0. As for Pompano Beach, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
