Football Game Preview: St. Brendan Sabres vs. Gulliver Prep Raiders

The St. Brendan Sabres will head out to square off against the Gulliver Prep Raiders at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Brendan hasn't scored more than six points for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

St. Brendan's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Northwestern on Friday. They were beaten by the Bulls 49-0. While losing is never fun, the Sabres can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while the Bulls are ranked fourth).

Meanwhile, Gulliver Prep suffered their biggest loss since September 6, 2024 on Friday. They were dealt a 41-6 defeat at the hands of Saint Andrew's. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Raiders' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Gulliver Prep's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for St. Brendan, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

St. Brendan came out on top in a nail-biter against Gulliver Prep in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, sneaking past 24-21. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sabres since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
