Baseball Recap: St. Clair Comes Up Short

St. Clair has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They came up short against the Union Wildcats, falling 10-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Nate Short was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Bo Robbins was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

St. Clair now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Union, they pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, St. Clair will challenge Pacific at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 4, the Indians 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Union, they will face off against Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
