Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger is a perfect 10-0 against Fort Wayne North Side since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Saints will venture away from home to square off against the Legends at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger has four straight wins, Fort Wayne North Side has 14 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Friday, Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger made easy work of Fort Wayne Northrop and carried off a 12-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Saints, who have now won four contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
The team relied heavily on KC Pieper, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Max Stefanek also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Meanwhile, Fort Wayne North Side scored the most runs they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against Hamilton, falling 28-10. Even if the Legends couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
Cayden Miracle stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Holifield, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Fort Wayne North Side's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
Fort Wayne North Side's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Fort Wayne North Side, though, as they've been averaging only 3.1 strikeouts. Will Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger keep running through batters, or will the Legends buck the trend?
