Baseball Game Preview: McNair Eagles vs. Bear Creek Bruins

McNair is 1-9 against Bear Creek since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The McNair Eagles will challenge the Bear Creek Bruins at 1:30 p.m. The match will give McNair their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.

McNair is headed into Saturday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 20th straight game dating back to last season two weeks ago. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of River Islands.

Meanwhile, Bear Creek came up short against Heritage on Tuesday, falling 7-1. The Bruins have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Bear Creek got a good showing from Elijah Duncan, who pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

At the plate, Bear Creek saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kevin Johnson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

McNair's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Bear Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

McNair suffered a grim 16-0 defeat to Bear Creek when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can McNair avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
