Baseball Recap: Michigan Lutheran Takes a Loss

After flying high against Eau Claire on Tuesday, Michigan Lutheran came back down to earth. The Titans took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the River Valley Mustangs on Friday. The Titans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Michigan Lutheran saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ty Johnson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. The Titans are 6-3 when Johnson posts two or more runs, but 4-8 otherwise. Another was Anthony Ealey, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Michigan Lutheran now has a losing record of 10-11. As for River Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.

While Michigan Lutheran had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
