Soccer Recap: Swartz Creek Takes a Loss

Swartz Creek was the 3-1 winner over Holly when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Dragons fell just short of the Bronchos by a score of 1-0 on Monday. While losing is never fun, Swartz Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 257th, while Holly are ranked 102nd).

This is the second loss in a row for Swartz Creek and nudges their season record down to 4-7-1. As for Holly, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.

Coming up, Swartz Creek will head out on the road to take on Owosso at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Holly, they will be playing at home against Corunna at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
