Baseball Recap: Westside's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Westside dropped their record down to 17-8 on Thursday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets by a score of 5-4. The Rams were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Yellow Jackets earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

Brody Caudle made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Jacob Holmes, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

As for T.L. Hanna, their record is now 18-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since April 8th.

On T.L. Hanna's side, Easton Thomas looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Thomas has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jackson Robinson was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Craddock, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Westside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for T.L. Hanna, they will welcome Dorman at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
