The Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against Mission Vista at 10:00 a.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

San Dieguito Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Bellflower on Wednesday. The Mustangs took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buccaneers.

San Dieguito Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Donegan, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, Mission Vista fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Escondido on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 4-3. Mission Vista hasn't had much luck with Escondido recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

William Voigts spent all 7.1 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits.

At the plate, Keegan Jimenez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That double was his first of the season.

Mission Vista's record is now 1-10. As for San Dieguito Academy, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-10.

San Dieguito Academy beat Mission Vista 7-2 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
