Baseball Recap: Simsboro Comes Up Short

Simsboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-1 to the Quitman Wolverines. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-1 back in February.

Simsboro saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maximus Lee, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Simsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 15-14-1. As for Quitman, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Simsboro will face off against Southwood at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Quitman, they will challenge Calvary Baptist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
