Coloma had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They blew past the Saugatuck Trailblazers 11-1. For the Comets, this counts as revenge for the 15-3 win the Trailblazers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Coloma's victory bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Saugatuck, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-15 record this season.
