Davis had lost eight games straight , but after bumping their record up to 2-17 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They never let the Wenatchee Panthers get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Pirates: when they faced off against the Panthers on Tuesday, they had to take a 14-7 defeat.

As for Wenatchee, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-4. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

For Wenatchee's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Godfrey, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Davis will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
