Soccer Game Preview: East River vs. Ocoee

The East River Falcons will take on the Ocoee Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

East River fell victim to Hagerty and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 8-0 to the Huskies. The loss continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Ocoee hadn't done well against Dr. Phillips recently (they were 0-8-1 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Ocoee beat Dr. Phillips by a goal, winning 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Knights were the better team in the second half.

Ocoee now has a winning record of 5-4. As for East River, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-1.

East River took their victory against Ocoee when the teams last played back in December of 2019 by a conclusive 8-0. Does East River have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ocoee turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
