Volleyball Recap: Garrison Forest Comes Up Short

Garrison Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lake Wales Highlanders.

Garrison Forest's offense was headlined by Bryah Breaux and Dawn Pena, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Julianna LaRocco and her 22 assists. Reagan Nickerson controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Garrison Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Lake Wales, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-7.

Garrison Forest has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against DME Academy on the 13th. As for Lake Wales, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against El Capitan on the 13th.
