Baseball Game Preview: Blanchester Wildcats vs. Goshen Warriors

The Blanchester Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Goshen Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Blanchester's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Goshen's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Blanchester's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Saturday's struggle, when Batavia hitters got past them. The Wildcats lost 10-2 to the Bulldogs on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Dane Skates was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one double and one RBI. That double was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Goshen came up short against Miami Valley Christian Academy on Monday and fell 8-4.

Goshen dropped their record down to 4-3 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Blanchester, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-3 record.
